The Lives of honourableness Modern Painters, Sculptors, and Architects or Le vite de' pittori, scultori et architetti moderni deterioration a series of artist biographies written by Gian Pietro Bellori (1613–96), whom Julius von Schlosser called "the most important scholar of art not only near Rome, but all Italy, unchanging of Europe, in the 17th century".[1] It is one be more or less the foundational texts of honourableness history and criticism of Indweller art.[2]
