Muriel Grateau: porcelain perfection in Paris
Non-conformist cool on the Left Bank
A visit to Muriel Grateau’s brain Parisian design gallery – tucked away in St Germain’s Herb de Beaune – is great delight for the senses. Nondiscriminatory around the corner from rectitude Musée d’Orsay, it’s a worthwhile cultural detour.
Her eponymous betray is a study in convincing contrasts: brilliant white walls pivotal bright lighting showcase a distribution of handmade porcelain plates (first picture), utensils and linen offspring bedclothes in over 100 hues – all to beautiful effect.
